Discovery flight lesson.
Our discovery flight lesson is designed to introduce you to the fundamental art of flying.
During your first lesson, your instructor will teach you some basics, and discuss your goals and dreams as a pilot. We will then customise a plan for you.
Highlights:
Fly one of the most sustainable trainer aircraft in Aotearoa. Similar aircraft are used by the US Air Force.
The one hour discovery flying lesson includes 40 minutes of flight time and 20 minutes of briefing to log your flight time.

We are based at a short 20 minute drive from Christchurch at the vibrant Rangiora airfield.

What are Light Sport Aircraft ?
Light Sport Aircraft are the future of sustainable flight training.
Light Sport Aircraft - Certified aircraft are built to ATSM ( American Society for Testing and Materials standards ), maximum weight - not exceeding 600 kg, can carry 1 pilot and 1 passenger and can be flown during the day and night in visual meteorological conditions.
When can I start learning ?
There is no legal minimum age.
To go solo you must be 16 years of age and 17 to get your licence.
